Man robs restaurant, steals empty cash register

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Gwinnett County restaurant, stealing an empty cash register, which he later discarded.

According to Gwinnett police, the suspect threw a rock through the glass front door of El Fruitie Loco on Satellite Blvd., stole the cash register and fled on foot. Surveillance video shows the robbery took less than one minute.

According to the police report, the cash register was found in the front parking lot of the business by officers responding to the burglary, which occurred June 19 at about 1 a.m. A credit card machine was also discarded behind the restaurant on a pathway leading to an apartment complex.

Using surveillance footage, police were able to describe the suspect as a 6 foot tall black male with medium to heavy build and a full length arm tattoo.

Police are asking anyone who has information on this case to contact Detective J.
