Tashina Eller, Coroner Candidate, Kicks Off Campaign Rally June 16

Hiawassee, GA – Tashina (Hall) Eller, Republican candidate for Towns County Coroner, announced her KICK OFF RALLY to be held Saturday, June 16 at Elizabeth’s Sunnyside Café, located at 1620 Hwy 76W in Hiawassee. The rally features live performances by Tyler Moody and the Eastgate Band, as well as speeches from Ashton Owens, Greg Roberts and Tashina, herself. The Rally will also include a raffle for various items, including a full-size, leather recliner valued at well over $1000. Several other Republican candidates will be there as well. “It will be a great opportunity to meet your candidates,” Tashina Eller urges . Come hungry because Elizabeth’s Sunnyside Café will be serving as well.
“I’m excited to be kicking off my campaign,” stated Eller, a lifelong Towns County resident. “This county deserves someone with a diversity of credentials for the position while providing compassion and empathy. Every case should be treated with professionalism, unbiasedness and respect. I have many plans for the Coroner’s Office and I am excited about what the future brings.”
With a passion for investigation and a drive to serve Towns County, Eller, with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice, feels she brings the right mix of knowledge and attention to detail. “I want to be an advocate for the bereaved during their time of loss. There are often questions, and I want to use my education, training and skills to find the answers.”
Tashina served an internship with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, experiencing everything from crime scene investigation, viewing autopsies, evidence processing and trail preparation.
“I have always had a desire to do this,” said Eller, speaking in front of a crowded room of people this past Friday at Mary’s Southern Grill. She was there, along with many Towns County residents, for the regular breakfast gathering of the Mountain Movers and Shakers, a nonpartisan, project- oriented group based in Towns.
When asked why she is running for the Coroner’s Office, Tashina Eller replied, “The answer is simple! To provide closure and help bring justice to loved ones, to offer a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on during the most difficult of times. If I can learn something from one death to possibly help prevent another family from going through the same heartbreak, that brings me tremendous gratitude. However, the most important reason I am running is to serve my community. There is so much more to the functions of the Coroner’s Office than what most realize. I strive that through my campaign, I can educate the citizenry on those responsibilities, so they know what to expect out of their coroner. Education is so important when it comes to voting! These things are what I will be speaking about during the KICK OFF RALLY.”
“A coroner has an invaluable role in death investigation; the coroner also acts as a liaison for not only the family, but many agencies involved in the investigation. Answers must be found with efficiency, urgency and integrity.
