Blairsville, GA -No, the Blairsville-Union County Chamber of Commerce didn’t spend the afternoon at the 19th Hole. However, they did get to learn a lot about the world of golf including how to properly stand, how to actually hit a ball, and the physics around our posture and the effect it has on moving the ball.

The three Chamber Gals being novices were placed in the capable and knowledgeable hands of PGA Golf Pro Ryan Scott. Mr. Scott, the Director of Golf at Old Union, was extremely patient with us and spent time helping them to perfect our technique and therefore they successfully hit a ton of balls down the driving range!

Old Union Golf Course was designed by world renowned architect Denis Griffiths. The 7,681 yard masterpiece offers shot makers of all abilities the chance to play a golf course with a true Scottish feel. With five different sets of tees, golfers will be able to choose a set of tees that best suits them. Old Union also offers one of the premier practice facilities in the North Georgia Mountains, with a double tiered grass range that stretches 400 yards, 2 separate short game target greens and a full putting green.
