Blairsville, GA – Recently, Blairsville-Union County Chamber President, Cindy Williams joined forces with Chamber Presidents in neighboring counties to speak to a group of State and Regional Visitor Information Center employees about tourism along the 515 corridor also known as the Georgia Mountain Parkway. The workshop was held in Blue Ridge and played host to a number of individuals whose primary job responsibility is to assist travelers throughout the State and educate them as to the best places to see and things to do.  These are the people who are in direct contact with our potential visitors.  It was a great opportunity.  Many of them remarked that they had no idea that the Georgia Mountain Parkway had so much to offer.

Cindy spoke about our many natural resources as well as affordable tourist attractions and reminded the participants that Union County is a great place to visit at all times and seasons of the year.

Participating Chambers included Gilmer County, Fannin County, Union County and Towns County.
